    Overview

    It's 2012 and time to #reignite the CDI weekly team meeting! We'll be figuring some of this out as-we-go, so be ready to hack the rules to make these meetings useful and productive for everyone.

    We're setting up (2) regular meetings to keep the team informed, up to date, and collaborating with our hair on fire:
    1. Team (weekly, 30 mins). We will conduct a regular weekly team meeting that focuses on surfacing issues of collaboration opportunities, peer assists, and sharing specific work plans and outcomes. The first three meetings of 2012 will be devoted to presenting on individual workplans via the buddy system described below. Going forward, we will devote individual team meetings to specific topics and focus areas planned at least one week in advance.
    2. Program (biweekly, 30 mins). Billy will lead a biweekly (or monthly) program meeting whose purpose to share the CDI team overall direction, metrics, and expectations. The first meeting of 2012 will introduce the CDI program snapshot and #dailybits to the team. Additional meetings going forward will focus on face-to-face leadership meeting updates, reporting on TSG priorities and goals, and other high-level materials.

    Details
    In a few words, we'll be using the buddy system to understand, review, and report on one another's workplans. You will each be paired up with another CDIer to review each other's workplans. The pairings are below -- as at the retreat, I've specifically teamed up folks who don't often work together.

    In advance of your designated meeting, review your buddy's individual workplan on your own. Then, set aside at least 30-minutes to meet with your buddy to better understand the plans for the year. Each CDIer will present to the team on their partner's workplan, homing in on three key questions:
    1. What are your buddy's top-3 priorities for 2012?
    2. What resources does your buddy need to be successful?
    3. How can we collaborate as a team to help get to done?

    At the program meeting, Billy will catch us up on leadership updates, team direction and plans.

    The schedule for this one will be more ad-hoc than the team meeting. We'll plan to hold this meeting every other week -- with an option for every month depending on everyone's time and availability.

    The first program meeting of 2012 will focus on the CDI team priorities and direction for the coming year. 2012's going to be a good one.
